So far, Polish HBO has been showing only foreign series. But time has come for the first local production. Bez Tajemnic is adapted from the American hit series In Treatment, devoted to the theme of psychoterapy. The Polish version, just like the American one, is graced by performances by truly stellar cast, including Jerzy Radziwiłowicz, Krystyna Janda, Marcin Dorociński, Ilona Ostrowska, Łukasz Simlat, and introducing Aleksandra Kusio.
Promotional campaign, instead of traditional trailers, consisted of original adverts, in which the characters from the series, in higly emotional confessions, retell their problems to the audience.
TV ads were just a starting point for an experience that allowed viewers to immerse themselves into the series’ universe. First, instead of a regular promotional website, we put out one that was standing for the therapist’s computer’s Desktop. People could browse his notes and discover additional facts about him and his patients. Then, they could take part in daily quizzes, posted on Facebook fanpage.
We took the series’ theme of people hiding secrets, and produced virals about it. In public spaces, we projected surprisingly frank thoughts (in thought-bubbles) over some people’s heads – and filmed how others reacted.
